The Richmond Republican Town Committee members love our community and helping others. This Thanksgiving, we were proud to partner with Pastor John of the Wood River Baptist Church in adopting a Richmond family to bring food, joy and love!. Our members purchased a ready-made holiday meal with all of the Thanksgiving staples. In meeting the local family, it reminded us that there are people in Richmond who are in need of our support and friendship. We must be always mindful that budgets. big local government and tax increases impact everyone.
Our Members responded to a call for volunteers from Richmond Resident, Roberta Engle to write out holiday cards for military service members. Our group completed over 50 cards and we loved it! Thank you Roberta for your leadership! What a great way to let our military know that they are loved and appreciated.
Demonstrating our commitment to the community, members of the Richmond Republican Town Committee responded to the call for action as a result of the recent government shutdown. Alex McKendall, our Chair, dropped off food and canned goods to RICAN in November and had a wonderful conversation with RICAN's Executive Director. This conversation will lead to other volunteer opportunities this spring and we are looking forward to it!
The Richmond Republican Town Committee donated school supplies and backpacks to the Richmond Elementary School
