ATTEND THE SPECIAL BUDGET MEETING ON WEDNESDAY, April 9, 2025 6:00PM - 8:30PM IN TOWN HALL 2nd FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM.
LET YOUR VOICES BE HEARD! NO SPENDING INCREASES.
RICHMOND RESIDENTS! The annual budget process has begun and you need to get involved.
As of March 18th, 2025, the Finance Board has reviewed the proposed FY26 Town Budget and is recommending a 3.75% INCREASE. Note: the property tax cap is 4% by state law.
The Richmond Town Council, comprised of 4 Democrats and 1 Republican, will now consider the budget before it goes in front of the taxpayers in June. If you want to be able to afford living in Richmond, we strongly urge you to attend the upcoming meetings when the Town Council deliberates on the FY26 budget.
The Municipal Budget as recommended by the Finance Board will increase to $8.2 million from $7.9 million last year. Here’s the attachment to review for yourself. [https://clerkshq.com/.../Att.../Richmond-ri/250326_02.pdf...]
Also, Richmond’s budget has increased by 81% since FY12. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
Can you afford to live in Richmond in 5 years the way spending is increasing?
Here are other items for consideration for this special meeting

Discussion of funding FULL-TIME GRANT WRITER (with salaries and benefits).
