“A statesman, not a politician”
A foundation stone of our Constitutional Republic is that we are to represent the people who we are elected to serve, not boss them around or try to control their lives. I value our God given inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and will make decisions which hold to these convictions.
I want to foster a community that is financially stable, Family friendly, and diligent to meet the needs of current and future residents of Richmond.
Campaign Priorities:
Committed to balanced budgeting and responsible spending with full accountability.
Develop a plan to meet the true housing needs of our community which supports property owners, removes unnecessary restrictions, preserves farmland, and prevents the State from forcing their urban developments on our rural community.
Create a Business Friendly town that celebrates our existing businesses, welcomes new commerce and encourages entrepreneurial ventures.
Promote a Family-First town environment to include a Performing Arts space, accessible Senior Center, and similar efforts to promote a healthy community .
I will always be respectful
I will listen to hear and understand
I will be gracious and kind
I will strive to be accurate
I will honor truth
I will celebrate service
I will champion integrity
I am a Republican because I believe in the principle of the individual creating the government and not the government creating the individual, it doesn’t mean that I am in “lock-step” agreement with everything that the GOP does . The Bill of Rights are the summary and aim of the Constitution, and why our form of government is a Democratic Representative Republic and NOT a democracy. This is to limit the governments access to resources of the individual and only to provide services when necessary and adequately proven through rigorous examination. I will approach this role with the mindset that your hard earned dollars deserve full accountability and stewardship as you invest in our community.
Richmond is a wonderful place to live with incredible neighbors, natural and varied geographical beauty, accessibility to travel, and has the potential to be a fantastic introduction to our State. We are the first exit with services on I-95, the welcoming gateway to out-of-state students and families of URI, and the final exit after our own adventures as we return to the place we are blessed to call home.
I humbly ask for your vote for Richmond Town Council this November.
